The Journey So Far.

 

Where we are today is a result of what we did yesterday and what we will be tomorrow will be a result of what we do today. Appreciating this simple fact will lead us to the conclusion that there is need for periodical self examinations to help us assess..'the journey so far'.

Salient questions must be asked and truthfully answered, if we will bridge the gap between where we are and where we want to be.

Progress must be measured and performance judged realistically.

Excuses must be shunned and targets must not be sacrificed on the altar of inconsistency and compromise.

Purposeful planning must be employed and effective methods adopted for the purpose of achieving notable progress.

Remember, today is the future we all once gloriously dreamed about, letting us know the future is not a time frame, but everything that we can be but have not yet become. We must deliver the future today,we must make hay while the sun still shines.

Y'hello people,

Today, allow me to wonder aloud....What is it about the 'best' that just makes some people wanna pee in their pants. Did you know that there are people who are afraid of  that term 'the best'...funny right ?, they just want to run away or disappear anytime the term comes up.

Oh! Madam, here is a list of the three best schools in town, top quality, top notch, they are absolutely 'the best'.

Reply..." Oh! Really, wow, nice...well actually I was looking for something a bit more on the..you know...you know what I mean..(sheepish smile) a bit more kind of friendly on the purse....smiles.

Why did you not inquire what made those schools the best, what were they doing that the others didn't do, how much exactly were their charges, what paying options were available etc.

You see, this attitude is a thing of the mind, its a result of our mindset..the way we think which may have been formed by many things before now, but the good news is that we can change the way we reason especially when we have found a more excellent way.

Be bold and think the best...Go for the best ( even at your level), its for you and you deserve it..you may not be able to afford the best today but if you start right now to think the best..you will be positioning yourself for the very best in life. Remember a quality decision is the beginning to a quality life.
